Mouriès: Heart of the Alpilles
In the heart of the Alpilles, Mouriès captures the essence of Provence—where golden light pours over olive groves, vineyards, and stone villages that glow at sunset. Known as the olive oil capital of the region, the landscape here stretches with silvery trees that have nourished generations and flavored the Provençal table for centuries.
Markets brim with fragrant herbs, sun-ripened produce, wheels of goat cheese, and baskets of warm bread. Meals invite long conversations, whether it’s a glass of local rosé enjoyed beneath the cypress trees or a rustic dish of ratatouille savored at a countryside table. Here, nourishment is more than food—it is connection, joy, and the art of slowing down.
Life in Mouriès moves at a gentler pace. Stroll through narrow lanes, pause in shaded squares, and let the Mediterranean breeze carry you through the rhythm of daily life. From the painter’s palette to the farmer’s market, Mouriès embodies the timeless beauty of Provence that has inspired artists, chefs, and dreamers alike.
Mouriès isn’t just a stop on a map—it’s an invitation. To linger, to taste, to wander, and to embrace the heart of Provençal living.

Accommodations
Nestled in the heart of Mouries, a small picturesque village in the Alpilles, the mas Respelido embodies authentic Provence. This peaceful place is the new landmark created by architects Liliana and Alain Meylan, who collect the most beautiful residences steeped in history within Les Domaines de Chabran. Committed to regenerative tourism, Respelido reflects their passion for the respectful restoration of old buildings. The mas Respelido brings together several buildings. The two main ones, the mas and the summer house, evoke the charm of the past with all the comfort attributes of a modern luxury residence. The 19 m swimming pool is nestled in a veritable green setting, where old rose bushes and fragrant jasmine blend harmoniously.
