The city of Reykjavík has a fascinating history that stretches back over a thousand years. The site was first inhabited in the eighth century by a band of hardy Norsemen. Since then Vikings, monks, sailors, musicians, fishermen, politicians, writers, artists and all manner of folk have played their part in shaping the rich history and culture that makes Iceland’s capital such a vibrant and fascinating place.

Beyond the city, you might find yourself relaxing in one of the many thermal spas and pools, viewing spectacular sights, getting up close and personal to the majestic Icelandic horse and touring the amazing countryside.

Meet Your Guides:

As your guides we are here because we are passionate about forging community and supporting photographers with wherever they are on their journey as creative entrepreneurs. Whether you are a photography hobbyist or working to transition into full-time photography or running a successful photography business or a seasoned professional there is something for everyone to revitalize your creativity and advance your skills.

I love the way my camera brings me into the present moment like nothing else. I see the way light dances and shapes objects. What a gift to have the opportunity to collaborate with you to document life's sweetest moments. I have a master's degree in business and have worked in human resources for years - but my passion for photography is my favorite journey. I live in Wisconsin - lakeside between Madison and Milwaukee. I love adventures: hiking, running, paddle boarding and skiing. I have two amazing daughters, a husband and crazy dog named Lola. I am a published photographer. Honored to have my photographs appear on the lovely pages of Bella Grace magazine and in more than one issue! One of my photos was on the coveted cover of the quarterly journal of black and white photography: Shots Magazine. My work has also been featured in Inspired, a magazine published by The National Association of Child Photographers. - Deb Schafer
